A Pakistan Army officer, Major Sibtain Haider, was martyred during an operation by security forces against India-sponsored proxy militants (Khawarij) in Dera Ismail Khan, while seven militants were killed.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces conducted an operation in Dera Ismail Khan in which seven India-sponsored Khawarij were killed. During an intense exchange of fire, Major Sibtain Haider from Quetta embraced martyrdom.
The ISPR stated that a large cache of weapons and ammunition was recovered during the operation. The killed militants were involved in attacks on security forces and law enforcement agencies. A clearance operation is ongoing in the area to eliminate any remaining terrorists.
ISPR further said that security forces are determined to eradicate India-sponsored terrorism, and the sacrifices of the brave sons of the soil further strengthen our resolve.
