A horrific accident involving a mini-truck occurred in the city of Shikarpur, Sindh, resulting in the death of 8 people, including 4 children, as reported by national media on Saturday.
According to details, in Shikarpur, the mini-truck collided with a pole and ran over people sleeping by the roadside. As a result of the accident, not only did 8 people die, but 5 were also injured, according to Sindh police.
The police stated that all individuals injured in the traffic accident have been transferred to the hospital. The Mazda driver responsible for the accident fled the scene and is currently being searched for.
After the tragic loss of eight lives in the accident, the police took the mini-truck into custody and started an investigation. It appears that the accident was caused by the driver’s negligence and carelessness.
Officials believe that the rising number of accidents in Shikarpur and other cities of Sindh is due to speeding and the violation of traffic laws. Controlling these issues could reduce accidents.
