Pakistan Idol 2 is coming back on screen on Saturday after a decade of its first installment.
The popular music show is positioning as a “cultural moment” for Pakistan, will launch on Geo TV, PTV, Green Entertainment TV, Express Entertainment, APlus Entertainment, Aur Life and Aan TV, simultaneously.
New episodes will roll on Saturdays and Sundays.
It’s a musical platform that provides millions of people to connect through music and discover the next generation of Pakistani superstars in the music industry.
In this season, the panel of the judges will be shared by actor and singer, Fawad Khan, South Asian Ghazal Maestro Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Zaib Bangash and Bilal Maqsood.
Meanwhile, host and comedian Shafaat Ali will host the show.

According to the reports, thousands of young people from various cities including Sukkur, Multan, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Islamabad and Karachi impressed the judges with their melodious voices in the auditions and made it to Pakistan’s biggest music stage.
Hundreds of singers selected from thousands will now compete against each other every Saturday and Sunday.
The inaugural season aired from December 6, 2013, to April 27, 2014 and Zamad Baig from Lahore was crowned as the first Pakistan Idol.
The panel of judges for the first season consisted of Ali Azmat, Hadiqa Kiani and Bushra Ansari and Mohib Mirza and Anoushey Ashraf were the hosts.
The show was initially planned for 2007 but was delayed due to security concerns and production challenges.
