The Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) in Punjab will be held on October 26, under the supervision of the University of Health Sciences (UHS). The exam will take place simultaneously across 12 cities in the province.
This year, a total of 50,458 candidates from across Punjab have registered for the test. UHS and the Specialized Healthcare Department have accelerated preparations to ensure the exam is conducted transparently and peacefully.
The Specialized Healthcare Department has issued directives to deputy commissioners in all 12 districts for exam arrangements. High alert will be maintained at 26 examination centers in cities including Lahore on exam day.
According to official notifications, Rescue 1122, NADRA, the Health Department, Traffic Police, and security agencies will be actively involved. A request has also been made to the Punjab Home Department to enforce Section 144 at all centers.
Letters have been sent to the Higher Education and School Education Departments for deployment of exam staff. Additionally, a letter has been issued to the Punjab Inspector General to ensure law and order.
