In the international market, the price of gold increased by 19 dollars to 3,759 dollars per ounce.
Earlier, gold prices in Pakistan fell on Friday, mirroring a decline in the international market. According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold dropped by Rs1,000 per tola, settling at Rs395,800. The price of 10 grams of gold fell by Rs858 to Rs339,334.
This followed a Rs2,000 per tola drop on Thursday, when gold was priced at Rs396,800. In contrast, silver prices rose. The price per tola increased by Rs64, reaching Rs4,499.
Internationally, gold prices also slipped, with the global rate reported at $3,740 per ounce (including a $20 premium), down by $10 on the day.
