In Karachi, students from government colleges who secured top positions in the intermediate examinations will be awarded electric bikes under the Prime Minister’s program.
According to Chairman of the Karachi Intermediate Board, Faqeer Muhammad Lakho, the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan (ICMA) has also announced full free scholarships for the position holders.
A ceremony will be organized in this regard, in which position-holding students from Karachi’s government colleges, their parents, and prominent personalities will participate. Electric motorcycles have already been delivered to distribute as prizes among the students.
These electric motorcycles will be given to Karachi’s position holders under the Prime Minister’s program, and this practice will continue every year until 2030, according to Chairman Faqeer Muhammad Lakho.
It is noteworthy that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had announced the distribution of free electric bikes to talented students across the country. Under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, a review meeting was held on promoting electric vehicles in the country and providing government assistance in acquiring electric bikes, rickshaws, and loaders.
The Prime Minister directed the formulation of a comprehensive plan at the government level to make electric vehicles accessible to the common man and said that the federal government will provide electric bikes to toppers of all educational boards across the country, including the federal board.
