A disturbing incident unfolded in the Gulshan-e-Iqbal area of Karachi on Tuesday, where a girl was allegedly held captive inside a software house, prompting a swift and dramatic response from her family and local authorities.
According to initial reports, the girl managed to contact her family and inform them that she was being forcibly confined inside the premises of the software company. Acting on her call, her family rushed to the location and attempted to confront those inside.
The situation escalated when the owners of the software house allegedly opened fire on the girl’s family. The gunfire caused widespread panic and fear in the area, forcing nearby residents and shopkeepers to take cover.
Police were immediately alerted and arrived at the scene. Officers managed to safely recover the girl and took control of the situation. Multiple individuals involved in the firing, including the owners of the software house, were taken into custody.
Authorities have launched a full investigation into the incident. While the motive behind the alleged confinement remains unclear, law enforcement officials have assured that those responsible will be dealt with according to the law.
