Famous Pakistani YouTube star Kashif Majeed, known for teaching Fiverr, YouTube, and other online earning methods, revealed in a video on September 18 that his YouTube channel was demonetized by YouTube, which sparked speculation about him on social media.
According to details, Kashif Majeed, who has millions of subscribers and also runs other YouTube channels, said that YouTube’s demonetization was like being fired from a job, which can bring financial difficulties for anyone.
In his recent video, Kashif Majeed stated that the demonetization letter he received from YouTube was a shock for him. “Just like being fired after 7 years of hard work, the first question that comes to mind is: how will I manage expenses next month? How will I pay the electricity bill?” he said.
When earnings in the channel analytics suddenly dropped to zero, he checked his email and found that the channel had been demonetized due to “misleading content.” YouTube’s allegation was that the thumbnails of the videos carried specific earning promises (such as “earn this much daily”), which did not match the video content.
Kashif admitted that this was his mistake. “I always kept my videos truthful, considering it my responsibility before God, but in the thumbnails, I wrote financial commitments to attract the audience, which turned out to be wrong.” Later, he deleted or privatized 150 out of more than 400 videos – YouTube also helped in removing the videos. After following YouTube’s instructions and reapplying, his channel was re-monetized. Kashif Majeed said that his YouTube earnings have now been restored.
Kashif Majeed believes that YouTubers should not rely 100% on YouTube alone, but should have 3 to 4 sources of income. He himself earns through multiple online streams, which is why, despite his channel being demonetized, he did not face financial problems.
