Quetta: Several passengers were injured after an explosion on the railway track caused three coaches of the Jaffar Express to derail in Mastung’s Dasht area, officials said.
According to railway authorities, ambulances have been dispatched to Dasht to transport the injured to Quetta for treatment.
The Jaffar Express was en route from Peshawar to Quetta at the time of the incident, railway officials added.

This comes just days after another blast on the railway track near Sibi narrowly missed damaging the Jaffar Express.
In the past, the train has also been hijacked by militants, resulting in multiple casualties.
Meanwhile, a Peshawar-to-Karachi-bound Awam Express derailed near Khanpur Railway Station after two of its carriages went off the tracks, allegedly due to the negligence of a pointsman.
