The Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) has announced a revised monthly per-child fee structure for its partner schools operating under the Foundation-Assisted Schools (FAS), Education Voucher Scheme (EVS), and New School Program (NSP). The updated fee rates will take effect from September 2025.
According to the official circular, the decision has been made in response to rising inflation and increasing operational expenses, including teacher salaries and classroom costs. To ensure continued academic quality and support the financial sustainability of schools, the per-child monthly fee has been increased across all grade levels.
Under the new structure, the monthly fee per student will be:
- 800 for Nursery to Class II
- 900 for Class III to V
- 1,100 for Class VI to VIII
- 1,400 for Class IX to X (Arts Group)
- 1,800 for Class IX to X (Science Group)
- 2,000 for Intermediate (Arts Group)
- 2,200 for Intermediate (Science Group)
PEF has directed all partner schools to implement the revised rates and to adjust teacher honorariums accordingly. The foundation stated that this step is crucial to help schools manage financial pressures while ensuring that both educators and students benefit from improved support.
With these changes, PEF aims to reinforce the operational capacity of its partner schools while continuing to provide free or subsidized education to thousands of low-income families across Punjab. The foundation noted that the adjustment is essential to maintain learning standards in the face of ongoing economic challenges.
