A tragic incident occurred in the industrial area of New Karachi, where a fire-damaged three-story factory suddenly collapsed, as reported by national media on Tuesday.
According to sources, efforts were underway to extinguish the fire in the factory when the entire building came down, as a result of which several members of the fire brigade and rescue teams were trapped under the debris.
Eyewitnesses said that immediately after the collapse, a loud explosion was heard, which spread panic throughout the area. Rescue operations were launched immediately at the scene, and efforts are ongoing to pull people out from under the rubble.
So far, the exact number of affected individuals and the condition of the injured have not been confirmed, but rescue teams are fully engaged in relief operations.
