In Karachi’s Clifton Bath Island area, the Director of Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), along with his fellow engineer, was looted by motorcycle-riding robbers.
The case of the incident has been registered at Boat Basin police station on the complaint of OGRA Director Ghulam Muhammad Shaheen.
According to the FIR, the OGRA Director stated that I was walking with my engineer Aun Abbas to the OGRA office at Bath Island. When we reached the roundabout, suspects riding on two motorcycles came from behind.
The Director further stated that the suspects snatched my expensive mobile phone and also took away the mobile phone from Aun Abbas. The suspects also removed the watch from my hand. I can identify the robbers if they come forward.
It should be noted that incidents of robbery, theft, and other crimes have increased in Karachi, against which Karachi Police is taking action, and arrests of suspects are also continuing.
Police believe that timely reporting by citizens is extremely necessary to curb crimes, whereas a large number of citizens do not even consider it necessary to lodge an FIR after being looted.
