RAWALPINDI: A chaotic scene unfolded outside Adiala Jail on Friday when Aleema Khan, sister of PTI founder Imran Khan, was targeted with eggs while speaking to the media.
According to police, a group of women linked with the PIA Co-operative Employees Housing Society and the All Pakistan Clerks Association (APCA) initially gathered to press their demands.
Tensions flared when their questions went unanswered, leading some of the women to pelt eggs at Aleema Khan.
Police said the protesters were taken into custody shortly after the incident, and further legal proceedings are underway.
The situation escalated further when PTI supporters clashed outside the jail following the attack. During the chaos, the car of one of the women involved in the incident was vandalized by angry party workers.
