The Ministry of Information Technology has announced the launch of a National Super App and Web Portal to provide citizens and businesses with government services on a single platform.
Under the “Digital Pakistan” initiative, the Ministry of IT has decided to introduce a National Super App and Web Portal through which all government services will be accessible in one place for both individuals and businesses.
This project has been launched with the support of the World Bank under the Digital Economy Enhancement Project.
According to official documents, the Super App will be integrated with NADRA’s National Digital ID system and will unify various departments at both federal and provincial levels.
Through this platform, services such as license renewal, tax payments, permits, NOCs, and other government-related payments will be available 24/7 via mobile and web.
According to the Ministry of IT, the Super App will improve transparency and efficiency in government institutions. The use of digital workflows and automation will lead to significant reductions in time and costs.
Citizens and businesses will also find it much easier to make payments for fees and taxes.
The Super App is being developed under the Pakistan Digital Government Enterprise Architecture, which will ensure secure access through a Zero Trust model, end-to-end encryption, and biometric verification.
Moreover, the platform will have the capacity to add new services and third-party offerings over time. Features such as subscriptions, a premium model, and in-app advertising may also be introduced in the future.
The Ministry of IT is hiring a consultancy firm to design the Super App. According to officials, the project will redefine the relationship between the government and the public and modernize the delivery of public services.
