Arshad Nadeem, Pakistan’s World Athletics Champion, has obtained his Japanese visa in preparation for the World Athletics Championship set to take place in Japan later this year.
Nadeem, alongside teammate Salman Iqbal Butt, will depart for Japan on September 9, 2025. The javelin throw qualifying round is scheduled for September 17, 2025, with the final set to take place the following day on September 18, 2025.
Earlier this year, Arshad Nadeem demonstrated his exceptional talent by throwing a remarkable 86.40 meters to win the gold medal at the Asian Athletics Championship in Gumi, South Korea in May 2025. Nadeem’s outstanding performance not only secured the top spot but also left a lasting impression as he triumphed over the competition.
India’s Sachin Yadav earned the silver medal with a throw of 85.16 meters, and Japan’s Yuta Sakiyama took home the bronze with an 83.75-meter throw. Both athletes also achieved personal bests during the competition.
Meanwhile, Sri Lanka’s Rumesh Tharanga Pathirage, who led in the early throws, was pushed off the podium and ultimately finished fourth with a throw of 83.27 meters.
As Nadeem prepares for the World Championship, anticipation is high for his performance on the global stage.
