Floodwaters from the Ravi River in Lahore have entered nearby residential areas, and rescue operations have begun to save people trapped in the flood-hit regions.
According to details, the flood surge from the Ravi River entered the nearby localities of Badru Pind, Burj Attari, and Sadhan Tori, submerging the affected areas. Due to the flood surge, several areas of Lahore including Talooq Pura and Chuhang have been inundated. Flood victims spent the night on the Lahore–Islamabad Motorway.
Because water has entered many settlements beneath the Motorway from Ravi to Thokar Niaz Beg, citizens are facing severe difficulties. The Rescue spokesperson stated that 72 people trapped in floodwaters in the Farukh Abad area of Lahore have been shifted to safe places.
At least 40 people were evacuated by rescue boat from Manga Mandi, while 7 people were rescued from the Theme Park area, according to rescue officials.
