KARACHI — A disturbing case of sexual harassment against a nurse has surfaced at Dow University’s Ojha Campus, prompting swift action by the administration.
According to details, a video from the ICU of the Ojha Campus hospital recently went viral, showing male staff members making inappropriate gestures and forcing behavior towards a nurse during night duty. The nurse resisted their advances.
University sources identified the alleged perpetrators as technician Dilshad and head nurse Danish.
Acting Vice-Chancellor Professor Jehan Ara confirmed that both employees have been suspended, and the registrar has been instructed to conduct an immediate inquiry. A fact-finding committee has been formed and directed to submit its report within 24 hours.
“The university has a harassment prevention committee in place. Strict action, including termination of service and heavy fines, will be taken if the employees are found guilty. Such incidents are intolerable at Dow University,” the VC stated.
