ISLAMABAD: The founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, has submitted an application to the City Police Officer (CPO) seeking the registration of a case against Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and seven others.
According to details, Khan’s lawyer, Tabish Farooq, sent the application to the CPO office via courier. The petition raises concerns over the lack of basic facilities being provided to the PTI founder during his imprisonment.
The complaint names eight individuals, including the Punjab Chief Minister, the Superintendent of Adiala Jail, ASP Zainab, SHO Aizaz, and other officials, accusing them of denying Khan his fundamental prisoner rights.
The application alleges that, under the directives of Maryam Nawaz, Imran Khan has been deprived of basic facilities such as proper lighting in his cell and permission for family meetings. It further claims that his family members have been harassed in violation of court orders.
The petition also references Maryam Nawaz’s past remarks, accusing her of threatening statements against Imran Khan, branding him a “fitna” that must be eliminated. It calls for the registration of a criminal case
