The video, widely shared on TikTok and X (formerly Twitter), has been met with a mix of amusement and disbelief. According to the caption on one X post, a young woman told her mother that Labubu was a Chinese god, prompting the mother to begin worshipping it. Social media users have since called the act an example of extreme superstition.
