Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Thursday continued the bullish trend as the benchmark KSE-100 Index gained 839.51 points to close at 145,928.00 points against 145,088.49 points in the previous session.
The stock market maintained the bullish trend during the entire session and also crossed the 146,000 points limit during the intraday trading, however could not maintain it due to some selling pressure.
A total of 324,810,319 shares were traded during the day, as compared to 788,463,721 shares on the previous trading day, whereas the price of shares stood at Rs 44. 443billion against Rs 52.780 billion on the last trading day.
As many as 483 companies transacted their shares in the stock market, 221 of them recorded gains and 235 sustained losses, whereas the share price of 27 companies remained unchanged.
Meanwhile, in a Prime Minister’s Office statement, PM Shehbaz Sharif expressed satisfaction as the stock exchange index surpassed the 145,000-point mark, signalling increased investor confidence in government policies.
