The body of school teacher Aurangzeb Alam, who jumped into the sea at Do Darya near Sea View with his two young children, has been found, as reported by national media on Saturday.
Rescue officials stated that school teacher Aurangzeb Alam had jumped into the sea two days ago with his daughter and son. Yesterday, the bodies of both children were recovered from the sea, and today, the father’s body has also been found.
Yesterday, a key statement was given by Aurangzeb Alam’s close friend, in which he explained the reason behind the school teacher’s suicide.
The friend said, “Aurangzeb Alam was my friend. Due to a dispute with his wife, a case was ongoing in court. Both were present in court yesterday. After leaving the court, he left with his children and did not return.”
He further stated, “After watching the news at night, I suspected that perhaps Aurangzeb Alam had committed suicide. When I saw the child’s body, I realized it was Ahmed. Troubled by the domestic dispute and court case, he took this extreme step.”
It should be noted that the deceased school teacher took his son and daughter with him to Do Darya near Sea View, where all three jumped into the sea. Rescue agencies immediately launched a relief operation, during which one child’s body was recovered from the sea.
According to initial information, the deceased was a resident of Sector 8.5 in Orangi Town and was serving as a teacher at Aamir Public School.
