Google has introduced a new feature in the Chrome browser for Android users by shifting the address bar to the bottom of the screen.
The company had announced the feature in June 2025, which is now officially introduced for Android users. This feature was introduced for IOS users, but it has now been introduced for Android users.
After this change, the users will set the address bar to their choice just by pressing the “Move address bar to the bottom” option. The option is also available in the Chrome settings, where the bar can be set up or down.
If you don’t like moving the address bar from its place, then you don’t need to do it because it is an optional feature, meaning use it if you want; otherwise, ignore it.
Earlier, Apple moved the address bar from top to bottom in its web browser Safari, and it was heavily criticized at the time.
However, in another development, WhatsApp is rolling out a new update for Android users that enhances the typing indicator feature in group chats, offering greater visibility into ongoing conversations.
According to WABetaInfo, a platform that tracks WhatsApp’s progress, the feature is currently available to select users via Android beta version 2.25.20.17, which can be obtained through the Google Play Store.
Previously, when multiple members in a group chat were typing at the same time, WhatsApp would only display a single name in the chat list, such as “Ali is typing…”. This limits users’ ability to gauge group activity without entering the conversation.
The latest update replaces the single name indicator with a dynamic string that shows the number of people currently typing. For example, users can now see “2 people are typing…” in the chat preview even before opening the group.
