Karachi’s Kemari Police have arrested a most-wanted drug dealer during a targeted operation as part of an ongoing crackdown against narcotics traffickers.
The arrested suspect, identified as Asadullah, son of Afsar Zaman, was found in possession of 4.3 kilograms (4,350 grams) of hashish. He is listed at serial number 09 on the Special Branch’s list of individuals wanted in narcotics cases and already faces multiple FIRs in similar charges.
The suspect has been previously booked in several drug-related cases, including:
FIR No. 714/2022 under Section 6/9-A at Docks Police Station,
FIR No. 210/2023 under Section 6/9-A at Docks Police Station, and
FIR No. 640/2024 under Section 6/9-B at Docks Police Station.
Kemari Police reaffirmed their commitment to carrying out intelligence-based and coordinated operations against drug networks operating around Karachi Port and its surrounding areas.
The police further stated that efforts to eradicate drugs and ensure the safety and well-being of citizens will continue. Further investigations with the arrested suspect are currently underway.
