White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt on Monday described Pakistan’s nomination of President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize as a “win” for the American people.
The announcement followed Pakistan’s statement on June 21, in which it nominated Trump for the prestigious award, referring to him as “a genuine peacemaker.” Islamabad credited him with playing a key role in defusing tensions with India and praised his “strategic foresight and exceptional statesmanship.”
Leavitt highlighted the development in a post on X Monday evening, stating, “Over the past few weeks, President Trump has delivered more wins for the American people than most Presidents do in four years.”
Among the achievements listed was the nomination itself, which she described as recognition of Trump’s “decisive diplomatic intervention to prevent a nuclear conflict between India and Pakistan.”
Earlier that same day, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also expressed support for Trump’s candidacy, personally handing him a Nobel Peace Prize nomination letter during a meeting at the White House.
