Over 600 Iranians martyred in Israeli airstrikes

The death toll from Israeli military strikes on Iran has climbed to 606, according to Iranian Health Minister Mohammad Reza Zafarqandi.

Addressing the media on Tuesday, Zafarqandi confirmed that over 100 people lost their lives in the past 24 hours alone, marking the deadliest day of the conflict so far.

The minister stated that a total of 5,332 Iranians have been injured since Israel launched its military offensive on June 13. He noted that 95 percent of the fatalities resulted from people being trapped under the rubble of destroyed buildings, while only 5 percent succumbed to their injuries after hospital admission.

Zafarqandi also revealed that three hospitals were evacuated during the conflict due to the imminent risk of collapse, as Iranian healthcare workers struggled to maintain emergency services under sustained bombardment.

Israel’s military campaign has targeted Iranian nuclear facilities, military installations, and civilian areas, leading to the deaths of several senior Iranian military commanders, scientists, and hundreds of civilians.

Iran’s response, codenamed Operation True Promise III, has included 22 waves of retaliatory missile strikes by the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Force, inflicting significant damage in Israeli-held territories.

A ceasefire reportedly took effect on Tuesday morning, but Iranian officials continue to assess the scale of destruction and casualties, with fears that the death toll could rise further as rescue efforts continue.
