In India, more than 25 people have died due to lightning strikes over the past two days, causing chaos in the homes of the affected families.
According to foreign media reports, the lightning incidents occurred in the state of Uttar Pradesh, where more than 25 people were killed within 48 hours. These deaths were reported from 14 districts.
Reports state that the deceased included children and women who had gone outside for their daily tasks. The most affected areas include Prayagraj, Kaushambi, Fatehpur, and Rae Bareli.
The administration has advised citizens to take precautionary measures to protect themselves from lightning, as the monsoon season has begun in northern India.
Local authorities have warned people not to work in fields during thunderstorms and to stay away from trees and water sources. They expressed condolences to the families of the deceased and announced financial aid.
