Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir has said that economic security has emerged as a key component of national security and Pakistan is set to become world leader on the basis of its mineral-based economy.
Addressing Pakistan Mineral Investment Forum 2025, Army Chief invited global investors and international organizations to explore investment opportunities in partnership.
Army Chief reiterated that future of the country is bright. General Asim Munir said engineers, geologists, operators and many expert miners are required in Pakistan to extract the mineral wealth of Pakistan. That is why Pakistan was sending students abroad for training to develop this sector.
General Asim Munir said ccurrently, 27 Pakistani students from Balochistan were receiving training in mineral exploration in Zambia and Argentina. He said, “our goal is also to create manpower, skills and human resources for the mineral sector”.
He assured the global investors that Pakistan Army will provide then a robust security framework and proactive measures to protect the interests and trust of its partners and investors.
Army Chief said the development of upstream and downstream mineral industries in Pakistan will also be ensured. He said it is important that investment is made in refining and value addition in Pakistan to improve cost efficiency and diversify markets.
General Asim Munir said Pakistan keeps mineral reserves and there is need of expertise and a transparent mineral policy and there is no room for despair and inaction.
Army Chief said by working together with global investors, Pakistan’s mineral sector can promote regional development, prosperity and sustainability for the collective benefit.
He urged the nation to go ahead, and struggle for the country and for yourself.
Army Chief tells the investors that, “We Pakistanis assure our partners and investors that it is our collective national desire to benefit from your expertise in business and mineral wealth”.
Army Chief assured the investors that, “you can count on Pakistan as a reliable partner”.
