The Utility Stores Corporation has announced substantial price reductions on over 800 essential items, including cooking oil, ghee, tea, and various household products.
According to the corporation’s spokesperson, the price cuts range from 8 to 60 rupees per item, depending on the product.
The discounted prices cover a wide variety of brands and products, including ghee, cooking oil, tea, detergent, noodles, ketchup, milk, dry milk, spices, pickles, soap, and toothpaste.
These new prices took effect immediately after the corporation issued an official notification.
While the subsidy under the Benazir Income Support Program is currently suspended, the spokesperson indicated that plans to restore it under a revised mechanism are underway.
Consumers can now buy these essential goods without any restrictions, and further price reductions on additional items are expected in the future.
