Pakistani Muslim League (PML-N) Senior Vice President Maryam Nawaz Sunday kicked off the party’s election campaign while addressing a public meeting at Shahdara in Lahore.
Maryam said that Pakistan needs Nawaz Sharif to get out of the crisis situation. Nawaz Sharif is returning on October 21 to end inflation and lead Pakistan on the way to prosperity. She said that the inflation was very low during the rule of Nawaz Sharif. The oil prices were within reach of the poor public. The poor people, despite their poverty, had two meals a day. People were not committing suicide because of the sky-high electricity bills. The public had all the necessary facilities available.
Referring to the PTI chairman, she said that he deprived the country of its prosperity and now he is rotting. “Nawaz Sharif has said that he left his matter to God.”
She said that the people who tried to oust Nawaz Sharif themselves were admonished. Numerous attempts have been made to drag down Nawaz Sharif but he returned every single time, stronger than before.
The whole country is preparing for the reception of Nawaz Sharif who was ousted. Slogans for his government for the fourth time are being raised everywhere, said PML-N Chief Organizer.
Maryam said that Nawaz Sharif was put through suffering. He faced political vengeance, false cases, and imprisonment. His personal misery cannot be compensated. He lost his mother and his wife.
Nawaz Sharif has sent his greetings and paid tribute to the people of Shahdara. The people of Shahdara have always supported the party in thick and thin, she added.
Maryam said that the public will welcome their leader on October 21 afternoon at Minar-e-Pakistan.
