The Supreme Court on Tuesday dismissed an application seeking a post-mortem of Dr. Aamir Liaquat by exhuming his grave.
In his remarks, Justice Ijazul Ahsan said that now this application has become ineffective, what will be gained by taking out the body after so much time?
Applicant Dania Aamir’s lawyer prayed to the court that they wanted an autopsy to reveal the reasons for the late TV host’s death.

Justice Shahid Waheed remarked that till now the body must have been decomposed.
“If the court allows, they want to withdraw the application”, the lawyer requested.
However, the court rejected the request to withdraw the application and dismissed the case.
A three-member bench headed by Justice Ijazul Ahsan conducted the hearing.
