Dr. Amir Raza, a Pakistani surgeon who graduated from Nishtar Hospital Multan and hails from village Babi in Taunsa and trained as a laparoscopic surgeon, treated the woman at London’s Chelsea and Westminster Hospital by robotic surgery, but a laparoscopic surgeon. The world record was set by performing 12 major operations by robots in one day.

Dr. Aamir is currently a doctor at the International Center for Endometriosis at the renowned Cromwell Hospital in London and is the head of a team of doctors specializing in various diseases. He is also the founding director of minimal access surgery Chelsea Center CCMIG Center, from this center laparoscopic courses are conducted all over the world, and he has traveled to the Middle East, Pakistan, Africa, and Europe to teach and train laparoscopic.
Talking to Pakistani media, he said that robotic surgery has now become the center of attention of doctors and patients due to its benefits. Many robotic systems are being introduced in the healthcare sector and are being adopted worldwide. Symptoms of endometriosis include severe pelvic pain, fainting, and ovulation problems.
Dr. Raza said that he and his team have developed a model of care that includes pre-operative work-up, robotic surgical approach, and post-operative discharge planning. Robotic surgery takes 30-50 minutes less than conventional surgery, allowing the doctor to perform more operations than usual. Apart from this, with the new technique less blood is lost and the patient recovers quickly.
He said that at present 20 staff members support his team and they serve very well to carry out this work efficiently.
He said that Pakistan is his homeland and he is indebted to the soil of his homeland, so he is working to introduce robotic technology in the hospitals of Pakistan to help women and he is ready to work with Pakistani doctors.
He said that thousands of Pakistani doctors in Britain are doing excellent service in the NHS, Channel 4 and dozens of English newspapers have aired programs and published news and articles about their achievements. He said that 10 percent of women in the UK are affected by endometriosis.
