KARACHI: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that even the enemy could not have imagined what happened on May 9.
According to the details, pm Shehbaz Sharif while addressing the businessmen and industrialist community in Karachi said that investors are the ambassadors of Pakistan around the world. “Investors have great services for Pakistan. What has happened in the last year is in front of you,” he said.
During the speech, the prime minister said, “When we took over the government, inflation was on the rise. The previous government had reneged on an agreement with the IMF. We had to comply with strict IMF conditions.”

The prime minister said that more than 100 billion were incurred after the flood disaster. “There was political instability in the country for a year and it is still there,” he said by adding, “The federal government distributed billions of rupees to the flood victims.”
He said that the prices of LNG had decreased during the coronavirus. “The previous government did not sign the LNG contract due to low prices. Inflation increased as oil became expensive globally. The Chinese bank also rolled over commercial loans,” he added.
Referring to the past, the prime minister asserted that Pakistan was developing rapidly till the 90s. “On May 9, what the enemy could not even imagine happened. Nothing happened during the exile of Nawaz Sharif and the assassination of Zulfiqar Bhutto,” he said.
