ISLAMABAD: Anti-Terrorism Court has granted interim bail to Chairman PTI Imran Khan in eight cases.
According to the details, Imran Khan’s bail application in eight cases was heard in the Anti-Terrorism Court in Islamabad. Imran Khan’s lawyer came to the stand and argued in favour of his client.
Meanwhile, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) formed a prosecution team in the cases against the PTI chairman. Prosecutor General NAB Syed Asghar Haider also issued an official notification with the approval of Chairman NAB.
NAB has said in the notification that a 7-member prosecution team has been formed to investigate the cases against Imran Khan, which will be headed by Deputy Prosecutor General Sardar Muzaffar Abbasi.
Earlier, the NAB had launched an investigation into the Toshakhana reference and the National Crime Agency’s £190 million scam against Imran Khan, which is still ongoing.

It should be noted that earlier the Accountability Court approved the bail application of Bushra Bibi, the wife of Khan.
Former first Lady Bushra Bibi along with Imran Khan reached the accountability court in Rawalpindi where Judge Muhammad Basheer heard the bail application.
