SRINAGAR: Around 2.5 lakh people have been martyred since 1947 in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, while severe human rights violations by India in the Occupied Valley continue even today.
According to the details, the Indian army subjected the oppressed Kashmiris to the worst genocide in 75 years. Kashmir Media Service said that since 1947, 2.5 lakh oppressed Kashmiris have been martyred.
KMS (Kashmir Media Service) said India has martyred more than 96,000 Kashmiris since 1989. During various incidents, 23,000 Kashmiri widows and more than 1 lakh children have become orphans.
Meanwhile, in various massacres, especially in Handwara, Tajpura, and Zakura in 1990, in Sopore, Lal Chowk, and Bijbehara in 1993, and in the Kupwara massacre in 1994, thousands of Kashmiris were martyred.
Kashmir Media Service said that the Indian army raped more than 11,000 women and extrajudicially killed more than 7,000 people in the occupied valley. On January 6, 1993, around 43 Kashmiris were martyred and 300 shops were set on fire in Sopore.
Indian army demolished more than 100 houses, and martyred 27 Kashmiris in Kupwara on January 27, 1994, more than 200 people were martyred during the protest after the martyrdom of Burhan Wani on July 6, 2016.
The occupied valley has turned into a cantonment under the supervision of 1 million troops. International human rights organizations including Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch have condemned the massacre of Kashmiris in India on several occasions.
