According to the World Hunger Index 2022, Pakistan was ranked 99th among 121 poor countries, and a continuous decline in purchasing power has pushed people towards starvation.
According to a research from the world food organization, the average Pakistani household is only able to spend 50.8% of their monthly income on food, and 36.9% of them experience food insecurity.
According to the survey, 18.5% of children under the age of five in Pakistan are malnourished, and 20.5% of the population experiences acute food shortages.
According to the report, 29% of Pakistani children under the age of five are underweight and nearly 40% are malnourished.
The WHI report claims that Pakistani toddlers between the ages of 6 and 23 months are denied access to nutrient-rich food.
