WASHINGTON: US Deputy Assistant Secretary for Pakistan Elizabeth Horst has said that the reforms agreed upon by Pakistan and the IMF are not easy.
According to details, the US Deputy Assistant Minister for Pakistan said in a statement that Pakistan has to follow the reforms agreed with the IMF to improve the economic situation.
In the statement, Elizabeth Horst said that the US will continue to support Pakistan through technical assistance. Agreeing on reforms for the IMF is not easy.

Horst said that Pakistan has taken steps to implement IMF reforms. “Reforms must be implemented to avoid further debt for Pakistan,” he added.
The Deputy Assistant US Secretary of State for Pakistan said that Pakistan’s security relations with the US have improved in the last year.
It should be noted that earlier the diplomats of the American government had closed their embassy in Islamabad for five days to show solidarity with the Pakistani citizens celebrating Eid.
