GHOTKI/RAHIMYAR KHAN: Army troops equipped with heavy arms and equipment have arrived in the Kacha area as Police forces engaged in targeted operations against dacoits and militants in different parts of the Kacha areas have made claims of advances.
MM News has learnt from local sources that the 35th division of the army, equipped with heavy weaponry and ammunition, including APCs, has arrived in the Kachha area of Sadiqabad from Bahawalpur. Rangers, police, and Pak Army soldiers will participate in the ongoing operation.
In Sindh, the police have faced severe resistance from the Sher gang during their operation in the katcha area of Ghotki. The exchange of heavy fire has continued for some time, with rockets being fired at the police teams.
Meanwhile, in the province of Punjab, the police claim to have made significant progress in their operation against the criminals. They say they have taken control of four hideouts of dacoits and militants after torching them.
According to the Sindh Police, a heavy contingent of police is on its way to the katcha area of Ravanti, where they claim to be conducting a targeted operation against the dacoits with head money on them. Six armored vehicles have already reached the hideouts of the dacoits, but the police are still facing severe resistance from them.
The police have reported sporadic incident of trade of fire between the police and the hardened criminals using heavy artillery in the Katcha area of Karachi. The spokesperson divulged that several bandits have been killed and arrested during the ongoing operation, and police have recovered heavy smuggled artillery and incendiary material from the razed hideouts of the dacoits.
In a significant development, the police have destroyed the secret sanctuaries of Lathani gang and took control of the turf. Police also took control of Basti Ghani Lathani after the operation. The spokesperson said that the law enforcers have established the writ of the state after clearing a no-go area stretching on thousands of acres of land.
Police have established their camps in the interior Katcha area of Karachi Bangli, Afzal Lathani, and Noz Band, showing their determination to stamp out criminal elements from these areas.
