Sajid Ali Sadpara, the son of the late Pakistani mountaineer Muhammad Ali Sadpara, has added another feather to his cap by climbing the world’s tenth highest peak, Annapurna, without supplemental oxygen.
The feat was confirmed on April 15, 2023.

Sajid Sadpara, who has previously scaled K2 twice, once without supplemental oxygen, and became the first Pakistani to summit Manaslu without supplemental oxygen in 2022. His latest achievement comes after he survived an expedition in February 2021, where his father and two other climbers lost their lives while attempting to summit K2 during the winter season.
Annapurna, located in Nepal, is known for its challenging climbing conditions and has claimed the lives of many mountaineers over the years. The mountain range, including Annapurna I, has seen significant fatalities during climbing expeditions, with varying numbers depending on the source and timeframe. The steep slopes, challenging weather conditions, and technical difficulties of Annapurna I make it one of the deadliest mountains among the 8,000-meter peaks.
