LAHORE: The legal team of PTI Chairman Imran Khan late Sunday night filed filed pleas in Lahore High Court seeking protective bail in two FIRs registered with Ramna Police Station in Islamabad and Toshakhana case.

Imran Khan’s advocate Azhar Siddique told media that the protective bail pleas for two cases registered with Ramna Police Station Islamabad and one in Tosha Khana case were filed in the Chief Justice House. Chief justice is reported to have scheduled the applications for tomorrow morning through the Registrar.
FIR 153/2023 was filed by Ramna police under sections of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) and Section 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA) against several PTI leaders, including chairman Imran Khan, and dozens of party workers for alleged vandalism outside Islamabad’s judicial complex.
The Ramna police station had booked another case against 20 PTI leaders and 150 party activists. The content of the FIR is almost identical to the previous one. According to the FIR, a mob under the leadership of Imran Khan came to the Islamabad High Court and tried to enter the court premises.
The third bail application is related to Toshakhana (gift depository) case wherein a district and sessions court in Islamabad issued non-bailable arrest warrants for deposed premier Imran Khan over his continuous absence.

The hearing into the pleas are expected to begin at around 9am Monday morning, with single judge bench will proceed the hearing on Tosha Khana case and two judges bench will hear the protective bails filed in the Ramna Police Station case.
