KARACHI: The Chief of Jamat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi Chapter Hafiz Naeemur Rahman has claimed that his party will sweep Local Government elections in the Metropolis.
Talking to newsmen after casting his vote in North Nazimabad, he claimed credit for the LG polls taking place as per schedule in Karachi and Hyderabad, and added that although some elements were bent upon creating unrest and chaos, JI would sweep these elections.
Referring to boycott by MQM, Hafiz Naeemur Rahman said MQM ran away from elections because they had done thing for the masses. “Had they guts, they wouldn’t have boycotted the LG elections,” he added.
