ISLAMABAD: National Men and Women Netball Championships will be held from February 11 to 14, 2023 at Pakistan Sports Complex Islamabad, Pakistan Netball Federation (NBF) said on Friday.
The championships will be played under the supervision of PNF in collaboration with the Pakistan Sports Board.
Pakistan WAPDA will defend their title in both men and women events.
President of NBF Mudassar Arain in a statement said that 16 teams from all over the country had been invited to participate in the event. The teams include Pakistan Army, Pakistan Railways, Pakistan Air Force, Pakistan Navy, Pakistan WAPDA, Pakistan Police, Higher Education Commission, LUMS, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan Inter Board, AJK, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, LGS, Balochistan and Islamabad.
The Manager’s Meeting of the participants will be held on February 10. The semifinals will be played on February 13, while the finals of both events will be held on February 14. After the final matches, trophies, medals and certificates will be delivered to the winning teams.
Mudassar that the players showing good performance during the championships will be selected for the national men and women teams.
