ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has termed the recent spate of audio leaks against PTI and its leadership as a ‘blessing of Allah’ and urged upon the nation to identify the threat posed by the ‘anarchist’.
Addressing a press conference here on Friday, the Interior Minister said with this blessing of Allah, Imran Khan, and his narrative stood exposed with each day passing. He accused Imran Khan of spreading chaos and anarchy in the country and wanted to mislead and divide the nation.
Rana Sanaullah said the Cypher issue raised by Imran Khan was a fraud as he narrated wrong facts about that matter and caused harm to Pakistan’s foreign policy. He alleged that Imran Khan was actually playing with the nation using the Cypher issue, adding that there was no such thing as ‘real freedom’ since he [Imran Khan] was using baseless things to push forward his agenda.
Referring to the audio leak that surfaced online today, which tried to give the impression as if Imran Khan was involved in horse trading before the no-trust move in April this year, Rana Sanaullah said he [Imran Khan] considered himself as neat and clean while indulging into the practice of buying and purchasing [MNAs].
Responding to a question about the federal government’s strategy to tackle Long March, he said Imran Khan wanted to come to power by way of agitation and Long March, however, the federal interior ministry had devised an effective strategy to counter the same. He vowed to counter the Long March with full force to set a present for future course of agitations.
Answering to another question about the recent arrests of PTI leaders, Rana Sanaullah said both Saifullah Niazi and Hamid Zaman were taken into custody for interrogation as both were avoiding to appear before authorities in foreign funding case. He further said that if deemed necessary, both leaders would be formally arrested.
