ISLAMABAD: Arrest warrants for former prime minister and Chairman PTI, Imran Khan has been issued by the magistrate over a threatening statement against female judge Zeba Chaudhry.
The warrants have been issued in a case registered at Margalla police station under sections 188-189-504-506. The Area Magistrate of Margalla police station issued an arrest warrant for the former prime minister.

The case against Imran Khan was registered on August 20 for allegedly threatening the female judge in a public rally.
The sources have said the roads going to Bani Gala have been blocked and a heavy contingent of the police has reached the area.
The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) said that Imran s recorded speech would only be permitted to be aired after an effective delay mechanism to ensure effective monitoring and editorial control.

Earlier in the day, Former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has submitted the affidavit in the contempt of court case against him for allegedly threatening a judge.
Imran Khan, in the latest response, although mentioned that he “might have crossed a red line while making a public speech”, fell short of apologizing for his remarks.
Khan assured the IHC that he would “never do anything in future” that would hurt the dignity of any court and the judiciary, especially the lower judiciary.
