ISLAMABAD: PTI Chairman and former Prime Minister Imran Khan has decided to make Pervaiz Elahi the Chief Minister of Punjab as Khan will reach Lahore today and address the members of the assembly.
According to the details, Imran Khan will preside over the joint meeting of the parliamentary party in Lahore today. The former prime minister will also address the members of the assembly of the Muslim League (Q). All members have been invited by PTI to attend the meeting.

Before the election of the Chief Minister in Punjab, the members of the government and the opposition have been put up in hotels. More than 160 PTI MLAs reached the hotel on Mall Road.
Other members of the Punjab Assembly have also been instructed to reach the hotel today. In today’s joint meeting, the final number of members of Tehreek-e-Insaaf and Q-League is likely to be revealed.
PTI leader and opposition leader Punjab Assembly Sibtain Khan said in a statement that PTI and allied members of the assembly are 187. The tactics of the government will be a source of embarrassment.
It should be remembered that the Supreme Court had ordered the election of the Chief Minister of Punjab on July 22. PTI has announced the support of Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi of QLQ against Chief Minister Hamza Shehbaz. Former Chief Minister Usman Buzdar had resigned on the instructions of Imran Khan.
