ISLAMABAD: Senior journalist Sami Ibrahim on Saturday, was attacked and tortured by ‘unidentified men’ while he was leaving his office in Islamabad.
As per reports, unknown men assailed Sami Ibrahim, dragged him while torturing.
Police officials have reached Sami Ibrahim to record his statement.
The senior anchorperson told media that the attackers were driving a vehicle with green-colored number plate, adding they also filmed the incident.
However, the motive of the attack was not yet known.

Earlier in the month, unidentified assailants had attacked senior journalist Ayaz Amir when he was on his way back home in Lahore.
Journalists and political leaders condemned the attack, saying the continuous violence against dissenting journalists is alarming.

Journalist Mubshir Zaidi tweeted “I strongly condemn attack on Sami Ibrahim. This is getting out of control.”
Asad Umar commented “Another journalist was tortured, neither law, nor any morality is left… now only the use of brute force is the norm.”
