Karachi: The question about “Refugees arrival creating problems” in the Ongoing Examinations of the Sindh Board of Technical Education for 2022, the Diploma of Associate Engineer 3rd Year’s Islamic studies paper has created quite a stir on social media.
As per details, under the Annual Examinations of Sindh board of technical education for 2022, a paper of Islamic studies/study of Pakistan/ethics was held yesterday in the Diploma of Associate Engineer 3rd Year, in which questions of Part I and Part B for Muslim students and part B and Part C questions were given for non-Muslim students.
In part B given to Muslim and non-Muslim students, question no. 3 of Part A asked “Write down the issues created from the influx of refugees”. The question paper has led to a heated debate and criticism on social media. Majority of people have expressed their disapproval.
One social media user wrote, “In the past, the question used to be asked about the issues and difficulties refugees faced when they came to Pakistan, or what problems refugees face upon migration. But this time the question was different asking, “What problems did the arrival of refugees create?
After the paper went viral on social media, various political and social organizations reacted strongly to the Sindh Technical Board and asked for an immediate apology, in case of refusal, people wowed to protest at the central office of the Technical Board.
