Why is he in exile?

Pervez Musharraf’s main political rival Nawaz Sharif came to power in 2013. Meanwhile, the Supreme Court granted the government’s request to set up a case of serious treason against Musharraf for violating the constitution.

It should be noted that before this many cases were made against Musharraf including Lal Masjid, Akbar Bugti, and missing persons, however, after a high treason case, it became very difficult for him to face the situation and gradually the possibility increased that he will be arrested in this case. Being a former army chief was also a test for the institution.

Experts say Musharraf at the time thought that these cases could not harm him, but when he saw the situation worsening and saw that the authorities were unable to save him, the situation was made for his relocation abroad.

In a Twitter statement, Nawaz Sharif said, ”I have no personal enmity with Pervez Musharraf. “I don’t want anyone to undergo the pain for their loved ones which I had to endure. I pray to Allah for his health.”

Is his return possible?

According to experts, the current situation indicates that Pervez Musharraf will return to his homeland very soon, but also keep in mind that on his return, a serious case will be awaiting him, in which the late Justice Seth Waqar of Peshawar High Court had remarked to punish his body after his death.

Trapped between a serious illness and a serious legal case, Pervez Musharraf, although of no political and social significance and in the context of Pakistani social values, will face only positive and good behavior from his political rivals, but in the eyes of the law, he, However, fugitives are guilty of serious crimes.
