LAHORE: A money laundering case has been heard in Special Central Court Lahore in which PM Shehbaz Sharif appeared.
According to details, on the occasion of the hearing, the court ordered the presence of Shehbaz Sharif, Hamza Shehbaz, and others. Meanwhile, PM Shehbaz Sharif came to the stand and stated that serious allegations have been leveled against him. He told the court that the FIA had delayed the challan to find a way to arrest me. During the hearing, the judge asked the prime minister if he had any share in Sugar Mills. On which Shehbaz Sharif said that he is neither the director nor the owner or shareholder of Sugar Mill.
Shehbaz Sharif told the court that if he had been involved in money laundering, “Why would I have damaged my family’s sugar mills?” PM Shehbaz Sharif said, “Knowing God is present, I say that all the facts stated by FIA are false, I gave cars to unemployed youngsters in 2011-12.” In 2015, we started the scheme of 50,000 vehicles. This 99.99% are the same charges leveled by NAB, he said. Besides, during the hearing, Shehbaz Sharif told the court that the judge before him had strictly explained why he did not complete the challan.
He appeared in this court dozens of times before the case was transferred. The prosecution said it was not a case of money laundering or corruption. The prime minister said that he was honored and what would happen if he was acquitted on merit. 4 judges said that there was no evidence of corruption, money laundering, and anonymous assets. “A false and baseless case was made against me,” he said. I told the FIA that I would not respond verbally. I will reply after consulting the lawyers. While in prison, the FIA was twice investigated.
Shehbaz Sharif, while giving a statement in the court, said that the whole lie belongs to Palinda, which will be covered with dust. My lawyer has given all the arguments regarding my bail, I have the right to give my defense regarding my bail. No case of corruption has been proved against me.
During the hearing, the prime minister stated that the Lahore High Court had twice granted bail in the Ashiana and Ramzan Sugar Mills cases. He said that honor is the characteristic of a human being. “Allah has given me the responsibility of the prime minister two months ago. I pray to Allah to fulfill this responsibility in a happy manner,” he said.
