ISLAMABAD: Around 72 new cases of coronavirus have been reported across the country, with two more people dying of the virus in the last 24 hours.
According to figures released by the National Institutes of Health, a total of 1,531,039 people across the country were infected with coronavirus and 30,381 died of the virus. The mortality rate remains at 2 percent.
In the last day, 15,129 tests were performed to diagnose coronavirus while the percentage of positive cases was 0.48 percent. The number of tests has increased to 287,333,248 while 50 patients with coronavirus are in intensive care.

The highest number of 577,781 coronavirus cases were reported in Sindh. In Punjab 57,369, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 219,709 while in the federal capital Islamabad the result of the coronavirus test of 135,510 people was positive.
In Gilgit-Baltistan 11,752, in Balochistan 35,504 while in Azad Jammu and Kashmir 43,342 people fell victim to coronavirus the highest number of deaths were reported in Punjab where 13,564 patients died of the virus.
After Punjab, the highest number of 8,106 people died due to coronavirus in Sindh. 6,324 people lost their lives in KPK, 1,024 in Islamabad, 191 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 378 in Balochistan, and 792 in Azad Kashmir.
