Singer Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have officially announced their engagement.
In a short video on the website On The JLo, the 52-year-old announced the news of the engagement. Jennifer can be seen admiring a green diamond ring in the video. In a voiceover, Lopez added. “You’re perfect”. The clip is an engagement announcement video, according to sources close to the singer.
Prior to the release of the video, the singer teased something ‘amazing and special’ on her Facebook page earlier that evening. JLo and Affleck have exchanged rings for the second time. After barely a few months of dating, the actor proposed in 2002.

However, the couple called off their engagement after a year due to ‘extreme media attention’. “Due to the excessive media attention surrounding our wedding, we have decided to postpone the date,” the couple said in a joint statement.
The statement continued, “We began to feel that the spirit of what should have been the happiest day of our lives could be compromised. We felt what should have been a joyful and sacred day could be spoiled for us, our families, and our friends.”
